Peters’ Cleaners dry cleans using tetrachloroethylene (commonly known as perc). We have tested alternative solvents but have found them to be ineffective at removing a wide range of stains.
We know that our clients would support the use of a more environmentally friendly cleaning method so are now offering wet cleaning as an alternative and are the only company in the region to be doing this.
What is Wet Cleaning
Wet cleaning uses water as the solvent rather than perc. In order for it to effectively remove stains and avoid shrinking or damaging materials, chemicals are added to the water to changes its properties.
