24/7 self-service pods

Our 24/7 self-service pods or ‘cashpoints for dry cleaning’ are COVID-19 safe. Simply sanitise your hands before and after using. All items are returned on hangers so the pods are not suitable for rugs, large curtains, duvets etc. They are in convenient locations for you to drop off or pick up your dry cleaning or laundry at any time on any day. Pricing and turnaround is the same as our shops.

How it works

Peters’ Cleaners 24/7 self-service pods provide dry cleaning and laundry with maximum convenience without compromising on service. As there is no human contact they are also COVID-19 safe. The doors unlock when you present your membership card for which you have to complete a one time registration process.

To Register

To access our pods you need a membership card. To get your cards, register online and set up an account. You only have to do this once!

When setting up an account you will be required to give your name, contact details and enter your credit card details. Peters’ Cleaners uses a secure online portal provided by a third party to ensure all your details are protected.

Once you register, we activate the account, issue your cards and post them to you. Please don’t worry if your account isn’t immediately activated. This can sometimes take up to 24 hours.

To Use

Once you receive your cards, using the 24/7 self-service pods is as easy as 1,2,3……

Prepare your items

Put your dry cleaning and laundry into a bag with 1 of your membership cards and secure tightly. If you have any special instructions, pop in a note.

Drop off

When at the pod, present your card to the scanner at the drop off door. The scanner will beep and after 2 seconds the door will unlock. Open it and deposit your bag. Please make sure you then close the door.

We then collect your clothes, check them for any special treatment that may be required and log them in. You receive an email to confirm that we have collected your clothes and taken payment. You can log into your account at any time to get the details of all your orders.

We follow our 7 stages of cleaning and when we are happy that your clothes are in the best possible condition they can be, we return them to the pod for you to collect. We send you an email to let you know they are ready for collection.

Pick Up

Once you have received our email, present your card to the scanner on the pick up door of the unit. The conveyor inside the unit will retrieve your clothes. Once they have been retrieved, the door will release and you can take them. Your membership card and receipt will be returned with your clothes so you can use your card again and again. Hand sanitise after using to be COVID-19 safe.

Serpentine Green

Now open at Serpentine Green,  our automated 24/7 self-service unit for the drop off and pick up of dry cleaning is located at the front of the centre next to the Barber’s Pod.  

 

Peterborough Station

Due to COVID-19, the launch of the pod at Peterborough Station has been delayed.

We are scheduled to open at Peterborough Station in January 2021.

Frequently Asked Questions...

A secure unit that enables you to drop off and pick up your every day dry cleaning and laundry at your convenience, any time on any day.

No. We collect your items and clean them at our factory in Peterborough.

Your clothes are cleaned by Peters’ Cleaners, the region’s premier independent dry cleaners.

You can leave every day items such as suits, dresses, shirts, trousers, skirts, coats, bedding etc. The unit is not suitable for large seasonal items such as rugs, curtains, wedding dresses, duvets etc.

To drop off simply put your clothes in a bag with 1 membership card and securely tie the bag. Upon arrival at the unit, use one of your other cards to scan the reader on the drop off door. Open the door, put in your bag and close the door.

We will notify you by email when your clothes are ready and back in the unit.

Once we have notified you that your clothes are ready to collect simply scan your membership card at the pick-up door and your clothes will be returned.

When you sign up you register your credit card as you do with Amazon. Payment is automatically taken when your items are returned to the machine for collection.

We have a limited number of slots so will contact you if they have been there for a few weeks and we need to remove them. At that time they will be removed and taken to our shop at 791 Lincoln Road where they can be collected during normal working hours. If however you know there is a specific date that you will be able to collect the item on then we can put it back in the unit for you.

There is no charge for signing up. Pricing for all items is the same as in our shops and a price guide is on our website at www.peterscleaners.co.uk. Once we have collected your items we will notify you via email of the cost prior to cleaning.

At the unit we are open 24/7 so you can drop-off and pick-up at any time. We are also open every day of the year.

Standard turnaround is 2 working days (Sundays and Bank Holidays are not counted as working days). We also offer next day and same day cleaning Mon-Sat if it is dropped off by 9am. Ensure you put a note in with your clothes though so we know you want a faster turnaround though!

Peters’ Cleaners offers its own repair/alteration service. If you need something altering drop it off in the same way but pin a note to it stating what you want doing and the finished sizing you want. Turnaround for repair/alteration is 5 working days.
